Project description
The Spinnerei an der Lorze project in Baar forms part of the transformation of a former industrial site into a new mixed use neighborhood.
On a site area of approximately 47’000 m², the development will accommodate around 370 residential units, complemented by approximately 22’000 m² of spaces for retail, gastronomy, and services.
The project is conceived as a large scale urban development, combining residential density with a diverse program of public and semi public uses. A clear urban structure, differentiated building volumes,
and a robust architectural language aim to support the long term evolution of the site while contributing to the surrounding urban fabric.
KOHLERSTRAUMANN contributes to the architectural development of the project as part of a broader interdisciplinary collaboration. The project is developed together with SITO and Patrimonium Asset Management.
